Could you be someone's lifesaving match? Join us for our Find Your Type event, bringing together students, NHS Blood and Transplant, and DKMS to raise awareness of sickle cell disease and highlight how you could help save a life.
Following the incredible success of our first event, which made national news, we're back for round two and ready to make an even bigger impact!
Sickle cell disease affects thousands of people, and finding a compatible blood donor can be particularly challenging for those from Black African and Black Caribbean backgrounds. For some patients, a stem cell donation from a matching donor can also offer a potentially life-changing treatment.
Come along to meet the teams from NHS Blood and Transplant and DKMS, learn more about why diverse donors are so important, and discover how you can get involved. Whether you're interested in becoming a blood donor, joining the stem cell donor register, or simply finding out more, this is your chance to learn how one small action could make a huge difference.
Come along, find out your type, and discover how you could be someone's match.
